Ann Ellis Hanson

Ann Ellis Hanson has worked widely in the field of Graeco-Roman Egypt, publishing on such topics as women's and children's medicine, widowhood and the family as well as editing both literary and documentary papyri. From 1977-1988 Professor Hanson served as Curator of Papyri at the Princeton Univerity library and was awarded in 1992 with a prestigious MacArthur Fellowship. She is currently Senior Research Scholar and Lecturer at Yale University.
